China,  officially the People's Republic of China (PRC), is a sovereign state located in East Asia. It is the world's most populous country, with a population of over 1.35 billion. The PRC is asingle-party state governed by the Chinese Communist Party, with its seat of government in the capital city of Beijing. It exercises jurisdiction over 22 provinces, five autonomous regions, four direct-controlled municipalities (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghaiand Chongqing), and two mostly self-governing special administrative regions (Hong Kong and Macau). The PRC also claims the territories governed by the Republic of China (ROC), a separate political entity commonly known as Taiwan, as a part of its territory, which includes the island of Taiwan as Taiwan Province, Kinmen and Matsu as a part of Fujian Province and islands the ROC controls in the South China Sea as a part of Hainan Provice. These claims are controversial due to the complex political status of Taiwan.

The flag of the People's Republic of China  is a red field charged in the canton (upper corner nearest the flagpole) with five golden stars. The design features one large star, with four smaller stars in a semicircle set off towards the fly (the side farthest from the flag pole). The red represents the communist revolution; the five stars and their relationship represent the unity of the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Sometimes, the flag is referred to as the "Five-star Red Flag" .

Flag of Tibet, China

The Tibetan flag, also known as the "snow lion flag"^[1] and the 'Free Tibet flag', was a flag of the military of Tibet, introduced by the13th Dalai Lama in 1912 and used for the same capacity until 1959. Designed with the help of a Japanese priest, it reflects the design motif of the Japanese military's Rising Sun Flag. Since the 1960s, it is used a symbol of the Tibetan independence movement.

Changbai Waterfall  is a 68 m (223 ft) waterfall in China in Changbai Mountain in the Changbai Mountains. It is more dramatic during the snow-melt season as nearby Lake Tianchi fills up.

The magnificence ofJinggang Mountain converges at Huangyangjie, the northern barrier of Jinggang Mountain, in which Red Army's mountain pass and military works are still preserved and tourists seem to hear "thundering guns in Huangyangjie"; long stretches of rolling mountains here are cliffy and penetrate into the sky, as a vast expanse of water, formerly "Wangyangjie". Sea of clouds is the most splendid landscape in Huangyangjie, which makes it become misty mountains among broad sea of clouds, like smoke and uncut jade at times. A mass of mist emerges suddenly between two mountains and above groves after a spatter of spring rain, whose miracle is abundant with interest and charm.

Badaling Great Wall, China

Badaling is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 50 miles (80 km) northwest of urban Beijing city in Yanqing County, which is within the Beijing municipality. The portion of the wall running through the site was built in 1504 during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou, approximately 1,015 metres (3,330 ft) above sea level.

Badaling Great Wall was built in Ming Dynasty(1505) occupying a commanding and strategic position for protecting the Juyongguan Pass ( Juyongguan section of the Great Wall ) on its south, further protecting the city of Beijing. Badaling is an ancient military defense project.

Taihu lake, China

Lake Tai or Lake Taihu  is a large freshwater lake in the Yangtze Delta plain near Shanghai, China. The lake belongs to Jiangsu province and the southern shore forms its border with Zhejiang. With an area of 2,250 square kilometers (869 sq mi) and an average depth of 2 meters (6.6 ft), it is the third-largest freshwater lake in China, after Poyang and Dongting. The lake houses about 90 islands, ranging in size from a few square meters to several square kilometers.

Lake Tai is linked to the renowned Grand Canal and is the origin of a number of rivers, including Suzhou Creek. In recent years, Lake Tai has been plagued by pollution as a result of rapid economic growth in the surrounding region.
