Austria, officially the Republic of Austria, is a federal republic and a landlocked country of roughly 8.5 million people  inCentral Europe. It is bordered by the Czech Republic and Germany to the north, Hungary and Slovakia to the east, Slovenia andItaly to the south, and Switzerland and Liechtenstein to the west. The territory of Austria covers 83,879 square kilometres (32,386 sq mi) and has an alpine climate. Austria's terrain is highly mountainous, lying within the Alps; only 32% of the country is below 500 metres (1,640 ft), and its highest point is 3,798 metres (12,461 ft). The majority of the population speak localBavarian dialects of German as their native language, and Austrian German in its standard form is the country's official language. Other local official languages are HungarianBurgenland Croatian, and Slovene.

Skanderbeg Monument, Tirana, Albania

The Skanderbeg Monument is a monument located in the Skanderbeg SquareTiranaAlbaniaThe monument in memory of Skanderbeg was erected in Skanderbeg Square, Tirana. This 11 metres (36 ft) monument was inaugurated in the 1968 on the 500th anniversary of the death of Skanderbeg. The monument to Skanderbeg is created by Odhise Paskali.

Annaba, Algeria


Annaba is a city in the northeastern corner of Algeria near the Seybouse River. It is located in Annaba Province. With a population of 257,359 (2008), it is the fourth largest city in Algeria. It is a leading industrial centre in eastern Algeria. Most of the people call this city Balad Al Unnâb, i.e. the Jujubes city, because of the abundance of this fruit in the area.
Annaba is a coastal city and has undergone significant growth. Annaba has a metropolitan area with a higher population density than the other metropolises of the Algerian coastline such as Oran and the capital Algiers. Much of eastern and southern Algeria seeks the services, equipment, and infrastructure of the city. Economically, it is the centre for various dynamic activities, such as industry, transport, finance and tourism.

Mascara, Algeria


Mascara  is the capital city of Mascara ProvinceAlgeria, in northwestern Algeria. It has 150,000 inhabitants (2008 estimate). It was founded in the 10th century by the Banu Ifran, a Berber tribe and was the capital city of Emir Abd al-Qadir, a leader of the Algerian resistance to early French colonial rule.
Mascara is an administrative, commercial and a market centre. Its trade is mostly centered on leather goods, grains, and olive oil, but it is especially famous for its good wine. It has good road and rail connections with other urban centres of Algeria.Relizane is 65 kilometres (40 miles) northeast, Sidi Bel Abbes 90 km (56 mi) southwest, Oran 105 kkm northwest and Saïda80 km (50 mi) south.
Mascara has two parts, a newer French area, and an older Muslim one. Large parts of the town lie inside the ruins of its ancient ramparts. The city is home of Lakhdar Belloumi, the former Algerian football (soccer) star.
